1. Program
Program name: RUNROO Racing Services Text Alerts. Description: two separate programs, transactional messages (race updates, registration and packet-pickup reminders, race-day alerts, results) and promotional messages (new races, offers, community news). The program is operated by RunRoo Ventures LLC, doing business as RUNROO Racing Services, Fort Worth, Texas ("RUNROO", "we", "us"), and messages are sent from our toll-free number, (855) 817-0490. This page is part of our Terms and conditions and works with our Privacy policy.
2. How you join
You join by checking a text message consent box next to the optional mobile number field on our contact, quote, newsletter, volunteer or text alerts forms, and entering your mobile number. There are two separate boxes, one for transactional messages and one for promotional messages. Both are unchecked by default and neither is required to submit a form. We do not text anyone who has not checked the matching box, and checking one does not sign you up for the other. Registering for a race, volunteering, requesting a quote or contacting us does not require you to sign up for texts.
3. Message types and frequency
- Transactional messages: race updates, registration and packet-pickup reminders, race-day alerts, and results. Frequency varies with the races you sign up for or ask about.
- Promotional messages: new races, offers, and community news. Typically no more than a few messages per month.
4. Costs
Msg & data rates may apply. RUNROO does not charge for text alerts.
5. Opt out and help
Reply STOP to any message to opt out. You may also reply UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END or QUIT. You will get one confirmation and then no further messages. Reply HELP for help, or email info@runrooracing.com. To rejoin, sign up again on any form with the text message boxes, or on the text alerts page.
6. Consent is not a condition of purchase
You do not have to agree to receive text messages to register for a race, volunteer, request a quote, or buy anything from us.
7. Eligibility
You must be 18 or older and the account holder or authorized user of the mobile number you provide.
8. Carriers
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to your carrier's coverage.
9. Your information
Mobile information, SMS opt-in data, and SMS consent will not be shared, sold, rented, or transferred to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Information sharing with subcontractors and service providers is permitted only as necessary to support services requested by the customer, such as scheduling, customer service, payment processing, and messaging delivery. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the text message services.
